Here's the eligibility criteria for SSC CGL examination 2018 (as per notice on www.ssc.nic.in)
Nationality/Citizenship:
A candidate must be either:
(a)a citizen of India, or
(b)a subject of Nepal, or
(c)a subject of Bhutan, or
(d)a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the IstJanuary, 1962 with theintention of permanently settling in India, or
(e)a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka,East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia andVietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be aperson in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government ofIndia.
A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to theExamination but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibilitycertificate has been issued to him by theGovernment of India.
Age Limit (will be recognised as on 1st August, 2017):
For Post for which age limit is 20-27 years — He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1990 and not later than 01.08.1997
For Post for which age limit is 18-27 years — He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1990 and not later than 01.08.1999
For Post for which age limit is 20-30 years — He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1987 and not later than 01.08.1997
For Post for which age limit is upto 30 years — He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1987 and not later than 01.08.1999
For Post for which age limit is upto 32 years — He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1985 and not later than 01.08.1999
Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation / Secondary Examination Certificate only will be accepted by the Commission for determining the age and no subsequent request for change will be considered or granted.
Age Relaxation:
Permissible relaxation of upper age limit as per Government orders as well as category-codes for claiming age relaxation as on the date of reckoning (01.08.2017) are as below :
SC/ST : 5 years
OBC : 3 years
PH : 10 years
PH + OBC : 13 years
PH + SC/ST : 15 years
There are more age relaxations for ex-servicemen, widowed women etc. (Check notification for details).
Essential Qualifications as on 1st August, 2017:
Assistant Audit Officer:
a) Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute
b) Desirable Qualifications: Chartered Accountant or cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters I Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics.
Junior Statistical Officer:
Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks level in Mathematics at 12th standard
Or
Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
All other posts:
Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
Note:
The candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply, however they must possess Essential qualification on or before 1st August 2017
